I can't make it out at all - what unit was he in for the period 1942-1943?

at that time he was with the Luftnachrichten Regiment 13.....unit was in Rostow July 42 and transferred to France 10/42....looks like they stayed in France thru 43 and into 44....he has other awards listed, three from ww1, a KVK2 w/swords, the ostmedaille and the one I can't figure out....he was an Austrian vet of WW1...

Thanks. The award entry looks Spanish so it might be that he was part of the Legion Condor but it's hard to be certain because the award is hard to read.
hmmm....I found several period Romanian medals with the name "serviciul credincio" which translates to "faithful service"....I am thinking that is what it is...not sure how these were awarded to German-Austrians but it seems to be the entry...thanks again for helping

and "spade" translate to "swords"....so , I think it is a Romanian faithful service award w/swords, sample pic attached....case closed !
