Gebirgsjager Grouping to Rudolf Maier

Hi guys!

I usually have stuck to soldbuchs but am branching out. I went a little out of my wheelhouse so to speak and purchased a little grouping of documents I'm not all that familiar with. A wehrstammbuch with other documents.

Rudolf Maier served with Geb.Jag.Regt.13 (and others) which is the unit I mainly look for but also, any under the 4th Gebirgs.Divsion.

He received the following awards:
Winterschlacht Im osten in 1.8.42------ Geb.Jag.Regt.13
Black Wound badge in 18.10.42--------- Geb.Jag.Regt.13
Ek2 in 24.12.42------ Geb.Jag.Regt.13
Infantry Assault Badge in 11.4.43----- Geb.Jag.Regt.13
Rumanian crusade against communism with Kaukasus bar in 1.9.43----rum.Kgl.6.Kav.Div?

I look forward to having a discussion so I can learn more about these and what their translation would be. In sifting through the Wehrstammbuch, I've found it to be a pretty interesting item! Not chalk full of information, but nice nonetheless, I think I may look for more of these. Many pictures! Hi Rose.

Really great addition to your collection. I must admit that I like the Wehrstammbuch because it is like the 'master copy' of the soldiers information and could be used to fill out replacements of the Wehrpaß and Soldbuch.

Post it how you think is best, it will be great to see the contents in more detail.

Extra Fighting locations, though the one is a repeat of whats on the page. I love the stamps on the backs, and that they used part of a map!
