Hey guys here with another update. His awards were found in a document. I have a question about it though.







My question is, What does E.K.F.Kr mean? Or is that E.K.S.Kr.. either way, what does it mean? Its not something Ive seen before.

EKfKr for Erinnerungskreuz für freiwillige Krankenpflege. Not sure exactly what medal it is; one of the two below or another entirely different medal. He was from Baden and too young to have served early in the Great War so I would think it was the first example below. Someone else should know more however.

or the Ehrenkreuz für freiwillige Krankenpflege im Kriege 1914/16

Would he get that at such a young age (14-16) ? Interesting for sure. I wonder if it has a recipient database.
