KIA Wehrpaß Westermann- death card
Hi guys,
I have this wehrpaß of Carl-Konrad Westermann, born at 10.08.1915 in Altona.
He died in 21.02.1943 near Loitz (Germany) if I can read it well.
He isn’t registered in the volksbund, do you guys know if there’s a death card? So I know where he is burried.
I tend to visit the graves of the soldiers I got a wehrpaß from.
Many thanks.

Hi Willmore,
Wow, that’s a lot of information you’ve gathered.
Thanks soo much!
I didn’t know it was such an interesting wehrpaß actually.

My pleasure.
It is very interesting indeed.
Just to fill a few bits in, he entered the military in 1934 and page 22 shows he was awarded -

The link below is really interesting and contains information about what this type of unit did, their tactics, their aircraft and the technology they used.

The wounded Bordfunker was an Unteroffizier Karl Six. The fuselage code for the aircraft was C9+GM and it was the right engine that caught fire and caused the crash having taken off from Greifswald for a training sortie.

Thanks for the information, curious where you found that
