I think it's that and people trust people too much and take what they say for granted as truth, not even questioning it, which is unfortunately part of their downfall. It also doesn't help that especially if they're a new collector, they probably don't realize how saturated the market is with fakes, especially SS stuff. These pieces of rubbish have been circulating for many years now peddled on E Bay , when they first appeared some went for £750 plus . If you do a search on this forum there are quite a few threads about them and on all the forums so sadly if suckers are still getting their wallet emptied by them then they really are stupid .

A pity those eager buyers can't find places that tell them these things are a waste of money.
Ebay, the place where they remove or won't allow authentic German WW2 items to be sold but will let criminals rip people off 24/7 with this type of crap.
Don't do a completed auction search on such things especially Eva Braun items, boggles the mind at what they pay for that junk. Cannot believe people are so gullible.
