The company i work for Kevin are charging £2500 inc flights for 10 days which is expensive but still very reasonable as other cpmpanioes are charging a lot more than that .

I work in conjunction with Mikhail S who is a very knowledgable young man .
I went on one of Mikhail's tours to Stalingrad 3 years ago, one of the best things I have ever done! Worth every penny.

Here is my contribution this thread from the IR194 of the 71ID. The Wehrpass is a zweit but the Soldbuch is a first issue. I included a photograph of the area of operations of the division in Stalingrad.

Nice group and this guy saw some heavy action in the Centre of Stalingrad , his Regiment Commanded by Oberst Lt Fritz Roske attacked the Main Railway Station on 14th September and then was involved in the fighting to capture the area south of the station east to the Volga Embankment .

I don't think I've posted this one in here yet. Eugen Röcker was an artilleryman in AR 305 of 305 ID. He was wounded in Stalingrad by a shell fragment on 27 October '42 and evacuated -thus spared the encirclement. Love this Soldbuch because it was carried in combat at Stalingrad.

Absolutely. Based on what I know, I'm thinking he was wounded when their Feuerstellung was hit by counter-battery fire - but could have been random too. I love Jason D. Mark's book "Into Oblivion". Although its core focus is Pionier-Bataillon 305, it contains good information on the actions of the division in general.
