Hello everyone,
This is my first thread of 2021, hopefully not my last.
As usual please add anything you see or give any corrections where necessary, it’s appreciated.
Here we have a prewar Wehrpass, which I think contains some interesting units. The soldier served with various pioneer and replacement units in France and the home front, along with the Army Patrol service in Rome and a foreign mail censor/inspection office in München.
The Wehrpass was opened on the 16th of December 1936 in München. Ludwig Schreiber, who was a volunteer (freiwilliger), was born on the 22nd of April 1902 in Neuötting, a town in the district of Altötting in Bavaria, Germany. It looks like he was married for a second time on the 5th of July 1938 to a women called Elisabeth. He swore his oath on the 20th of March 1937.
Service -
His prewar service was with 4./ Kompanie pionier bataillon 7.
He served March to August 1940 with baukolonne 100, in independent pioneer units, active and based in France - Aisne and Loire. On 21.8.1940 he was discharged from the army.
Called up again in October 1941, he served till July 1942 with Festungs Pioneer Stab 4, a fortress engineers unit involved in the building of fortifications in France (Atlantikwall).
August 1942 to January 1943 he served with Gruppe Heeres-Streifendienst beim Deutschen Wehrmacht-Attaché Rome. This was the Army Patrol Service attached to the Military attaché in Rome.
January to May 1943 he served with replacement units in Germany, after which he was transferred to the AuslandsbreifPrufstelle München, the Military censor for foreign mail.
Narbiges Duodenal Ulcus mit Gastritis und Hypersekretion. Gesteigerte nerv.Erregbarkeit, folgen von Kopftrauma.
(Narbiges?) duodenal ulcer with gastritis and hypersecretion. Increased nerve excitable, following from head trauma.
Peptic ulcers develop in the lining of the stomach or upper part of the small intestine (duodenum). Causes of duodenal ulcer - The predominantly antral gastritis in duodenal ulcer disease leads to acid hypersecretion by suppressing somatostatin cells and increasing gastrin release from the G cells in the gastric antrum.
