This photo was taken at the victory parade of the Legion Condor in June 1939. The many signs held by the men on the steps bear the names of the Legion's fallen.
The building is the Altes Museum at the Lustgarten in Berlin.

(By the way: Its architect was the great Karl Friedrich Schinkel who was, among many other things, the designer of the Iron Cross.)
Thank you for that info HPL! As usual, your knowledge on these matters is amazing and immensely helpful. I really wondered what all those signs were, but I didn't think anyone would know.
You're welcome. I also found the memorial seen in photo # 11 of post # 80. It's the Alsace-Lorraine Monument at the Armistice Memorial at Compiègne:

This is the second photo of the monument I have acquired. A while back I found this one with the party flag draped over it:

These photos seemed rather poignant in the humiliating insult of the monument being under German guard at the time. It's symbolism within symbolism. I can just see Hitler visiting the site after the surrender of France, and gleefully prancing about like a little child as he did when he returned to Berlin.
I'm shocked! For once, an attractive bride in a photo! lol

Thank you sir! There will be more to come over time, so I'm excited to really raise the bar on my photo collection.

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
