Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Paul: I've seen a few times that this photo is Matthäus Hetzenauer. He was a Gebirgsjaeger too. Any ideas?
Thanks!
Luke
Definately not Matthäus Hetzenauer as you say he was Gebirgsjaeger as well and this guy is definately Waffen SS as are the blokes in the background !! I have only ever seen one photograph of Hetzenauer which is a head shot and as far as i know ne never signed photos.
