Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
I always went to sanddunes near my old hometown with my grandfather when I was still 6-7 years old. We were always happy if we came back with a few casings, bullets and sometimes we found something bigger but still those were the days. Takes me back to see those pictures you posted even though we never found material like that
it's should be really exciting adventure and nice finding as well~~~~

Time counts and keeps countin', and we knows now finding the trick of what's been and lost ain't no easy ride. But that's our trek, we gotta' travel it. And there ain't nobody knows where it's gonna' lead. Still in all, every night we does the tell, so that we 'member who we was and where we came from... but most of all we 'members the man that finded us, him that came the salvage. And we lights the city, not just for him, but for all of them that are still out there. 'Cause we knows there come a night, when they sees the distant light, and they'll be comin' home.
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Great photos! Must have been a blast walking around the forests and fields back then with all of the artifacts just laying around all over the place... hope you at least kept some of it I know I wouldn't have left that FJ helmet behind.... Oh, well... hindsight is as useful as ever, I guess..
