Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

Hi Andrey, have you received my last email?
i'm just an onlooker in USA- I notice there's a lot of ordinance that have been brought up- isn't that stuff dangerous?
uboats
Some of it is VERY dangerous and only experts like these guys should be handling it. A lot of the stuff is left in the ground, marked, and disposed of in situ. Other stuff is taken away to be destroyed. A very small minority of the big live ordnance may be de-activated but this is also a dangerous job and takes a special kind of skill !
As for the small arms ammo, the vast majority is totally safe. The bits you have to watch are the cannon shells or explosive bullets. Otherwise, as long as you don't hit them really hard with a centre punch on the blast cap, (hard to do by accident ), they are relatively safe. Legal ? Totally different matter Here in the UK it's a 5 year mandatory sentence for possession of live ammo without an appropriate licence (which are rarer than rocking horse poo). So all us UK collectors will have nothing be inerted cartridges
Cheers

Steve, you absolutely right!!!!
I've been reviewing the 40+ pages you have here,,,simply amazing! How often do you visit to collect/research such items, and what becomes of it all. Some of the pics you have here,,it looks like most of the stuff was just left there, or its to big to bring back. Otherwise,,continue to preserve & protect our past, I do the same thing,,if it wasnt for people like us,,no one else would do it. THNX, Jim
WOW!!!!!!!
Question: Did the germans throw this stuff in the lake????
I could only wish to travel with you guys on one of these trips. How often do you go,,,and are you the only folks digging around??
Very blue water,,,,dive in that area for relics?
