Blown up Shell.

Article about: I don't know what this shell is, I can't see any markings or stamps. The bottom piece is missing sadly. Nice and rusty, so I'm going to give it a good clean up. Pictures show it with a thick

    With electrolysis you could get rid of the rust and after treating it with oil it won't rust again and it has a nice black patina. Maybe something you can try with another find/object.

    Reminds me of my 75mm shell, picked up at a carboot in Normandy a few years back, seller claimed it had exploded in her mothers house during the war and her mother had always used it to display flowers in.
