But we didn't find any nuts. Lots of sling buckles and one rabbit travelling at mach 1.7...........I accidentally dug right into his burrow and he wasn't overly happy about it. Scared the crap out of me though when this furry rocket whizzed between my legs. Normally I'd have blamed Dave, as he is usually the only furry thing that gets between my legs at these digs, but he wasn't there so I can't.

Oh Im so glad Im not the only one who has rabbits running through their legs, mind you ,you should try it when your having a pee, its a whole new experience of trying to maintain aim and dignity and avoiding a wet leg.

Nice finds. I am always amazed how well some iron artifacts survive. I guess it is down to the quality of the ore, type of soil, drainage etc. I think my old dad once told me 1/8th of an inch of metal equals 1 inch of rust.
