It is a bycycle "multitool" and similar ones were used also for MG-s.
What a Site ~
Seems a metal detector would be almost useless as there are so many targets ~ It would certainly be working over time BIG time ~
Thanks for sharing ~ and inspiring ~
(I am chaffing at the bit to get out again but the weather is foul at present and I am tired of wet feet and getting blown away and rained on ~)
wonderful pictures and info! Thanks for teh posting and for your work. Especially finding the MIA/KIAs, its been a long time, but all missing deserve to be found and properly buried.

Thanks guys
Back home from expedition to Kurland . We had a great time and found several fallen and missing soldiers , 28 in total. Am sorting through pics and working on a report from the trip , but first I must spend a few hours out in the Norwegian forest searching a little

Thanks for sharing your excellent videos ~
( I am repeatedly told that I / we must produce videos of our expeditions ~
Of course we can never expect to find remains as you do ~ as Australia was a staging, training and transition ground for Australian and US military before attacking Japanese forces as close as New Guinea ~ but any video, could well be good viewing ~especially if we produce to the same excellent standard as your videos ~ )
Thanks guys. here is a full Write-up from the expedition-->
