Great stuff, what an interesting artifact - with my limited forensics skills - it looks lie it must have been empty, for such a clean exit hole.
A roll of belted ammo, would tear apart all but the most vicious of AP rounds.
Nice clean drum there Inka, I have yet to find time to get my one in Oxalic. What strength acid did you mix up and how long was the drum in the solution for?
Thanks guys. Really wish I had found the lid/top for it
I had it in a quite strong oxalic solution and as I had several things to clean this one ended up staying in the bath for about 18 hours before I got to it

What do you call 'quite strong solution'? I usually use 10g of acid per litre of water. Your solution didn't bleach the paint white so i'm wondering if your idea of a strong solution is in fact weaker than my 10g/l solution.
