I managed to get out digging a few times this week already. The piles of rust for the winter is growing, but it is always good to gather that extra bit, squirrel style

Returning to the parking lot after yesterdays digging I met a squad of hunters, ready for the first moose hunt of the season. That makes me potential collateral damage so I am gonna search quieter places until they have gotten their quota. I had some nice finds though, a coin from 1890 and this panzer skull

The last three days have been spent in the wet forests. I have located a couple of "signal hot-spots" that I hope to search before winter sets in (possibly mid next week), and I have ordered a bolt cutter to get rid of barbed wire that is stopping me from getting deeper in a dumping pit

There has been a shift in temperatures. Yesterday it was 8 Celsius and good weather for helmet picking, found some other bits of rust too. But today it was 0.2 degree outside and fresh snow on the mountain sides, I think winter is approaching Anyway I found three helmets yesterday. Totally awesome!!

This week might have been the last week of the season here north. Outside my house it is snow and cold, and the next week we have been promised really cold nights and more snow. I got some searching done and found some more treasures to keep me busy cleaning through the dark winter months. One of the lat finds I had was the lower part of a gun. I bet the rest is ar ound there somewhere

Thanks razputin, Glad to hear that
When it is -7.5 Celsius below zero it is good to sit by the fireplace and work on miniatures. I finished this project today. "Krig" (War) in scale 1/35. It depicts a group of children playing war, sometime late 1940s or early 1950s somewhere in Finnmark, Northern Norway. Kids growing up in the ruins of war played with real weapons and discarded military equipment, which to this day is still laying around.
