I will show some of my finds once I get a chance to photograph them.
Here are a few more items that I have found whilst wandering around the Normandy countryside.
3cm flak shell
Both me and Martin Bull each picked one of these up from a field very close to Moissy ford
Red signal flare cartridge
A screw off fuze igniter from either an M39 or M43 German grenade
Part of a Tellermine fuze
This is one up for debate as I've read various theories as to what these tags were used for
This is the sort of find that gives me the most satisfaction as it was once part of a German soldiers personal equipment. It's part of the spring latch from the leather strap of a canteen.
Mauser stripper clips and cartridge cases
A large padlock
Bullets, keys, Zeltbahn button. The top right item is part of an Mg 34/42 feed belt

This is the remains of a Luftwaffe loading tag, when loading equipment into the aircraft for transportation (Ju52), these would signify the type of equipment being carried within the containers, whether it be fragile radio kit or weapons etc. During the battle for Stalingrad such tags were used as indications as to whether wounded were to be evacuated or not, I believe.
Yes, those are the theories that I have heard of before. I have also read that they could be loading tags that indicated the weight of items carried on aircraft
