Independant rear suspension was very advanced design in the 1930's. Most western car companies didn't do that for another 25 years!!!

I just wanted to thank you Sebastien for documenting all of the incredible finds for all of us to enjoy with you! I've read through the whole thread within the last few days and it has been very enjoyable and interesting. Hopefully your life situation permits you to do more digging now that the summer is coming up and even to share it with us, but don't take any pressure for that. You know we are all here eagerly waiting for your posts, but only if you have the chance to do it without interfering with your life.

God bless and all the best to you!

Thank you so much for kind words! It inspires me a lot

Yesterday I dug up Opel Blitz truck side... It was used as the roof of a German bunker
Yes, it's just iron. But it's always nice when there are people who can restore it and give new life to preserve history.

    Great find!

A second trip to Volgograd is on my bucket list. Could only see so much the first time I was there.

I 100% agree. Waiting for travel restrictions and other pandemic-related hassles to calm down a bit. I also need to get to a point where I can devote the appropriate amount of time. The first time I went, I was living in Eastern Europe. The travel was a simple half day of two flights (Moscow, then catch the connection to Volgograd). Coming from the U.S. is "a bit" more distance to cover and if I spend that $ and time for the travel, I want my time on the ground in Volgograd to be at least one week. I'll need about about 11-12 solid days to devote to the trip.
