Two days ago I went on a business trip on the River Don.
This is the area most north desert in the world - "Don-Archeda Sands"
I found the shells, it's from the Civil War (1918-1920)

Today I found a silver pendant, this is of imperial Russia
Work is always getting in the way of digging !!

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
I would literally crap myself if I dug up a skeleton. Or even a bone. Good job taking care of them though, giving them burials like the men they are. German or Russian.
I am very impressed you found RIBBONS. I even saw the Sudetenland medal. I smiled at the Tank Battle Badges. Amazing stuff! Keep going I support you too!
That pendent is a really super find Sebastien! It's a wonder you have as much time as you do to do so much digging etc.You sure it's not your full time job? Ron
Yes Ron, it was my full-time job: I work from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. After dinner, at 9:00 pm I'm going to dig and dig to 11-12 pm
Today was the same.
you remember this place, it is close to the university where I studied.
Today I dug up the Romanian dog tag
This is the 16th Romanian dog tag that I found in the ravine...
Ouch. 9pm till 11-12. The stamina of youth. Great Sebastien! My eyes are pretty much closed at that time. Ron
What do you do with the stuff you find?
As usual nice finds, Sebastian.
The Bayonet in post 825 looks like it could clean up nicely.
Looks like an oiler next to the left of the Romanian dogtag....
