Victory Column Berlin, Germany.
The Column was erected in 1873 to commemorate Germany's victory in Franco-Prussian war 1870-1871.
Colonel Zinchenko with his wife Zinaida.
Really nice photos. I'm always on the lookout for Soviet photos taken in Berlin, especially ones that also show the Reichstag or the Victory Column.
I visited both in Berlin and my recommendations to everyone ! There were signs of battle everywhere, like a soldiers name inscribed on the roof of the Reichstag, bullet holes on the walls of the monument etc. Tiergarten between the Reichstag and the monument was wonderful too . I wonder what lies in the ponds and under the ground there.
