Default SA dagger - RZM m7/36 check if it's not a fake (my first SA dagger)

    Hi all,

I can buy this SA dagger. After searching many pictures of similar daggers to make sure it is not a fake, I'd like te hear your opinions if I will do good of buying this dagger.
I think it's an original. But don't know for sure since the hande/grip is very smooth. Almost too smooth?
I hope you guys can help me out.

    Thanks!

    Kind regards,

    Peter

Peter, For a purchasing decision from my perspective how "original" is original? Not the polish on the blade, and very likely not the scabbard finish (looks to me like newer paint) . And the grip eagle looks like it has been fooled around with. But at a very steep discount I can see where somebody could be tempted if they were working with a limited budget. Best Regards, Fred

The grip eagle is the chicken neck fake type with alot of loss of definition and detail compared to 12 other sub contracted types used.
It makes sense that because of the amount of wood filler used around the areas where the original as picked out.

I am also in agreement with Fred that the scabbard has been repainted,
I would say wait for a better example to come along and you are welcome to delve into the many threads here within this sub forum to compare original to repro to messed with.
Yours appears to be original and messed with. The tang nut proves that having being opened a few times.

Thank you for your views Fred and Larry! I decided not to buy it based on your findings.
He asked 450 euro's for it. I just wait for an other offer.
