    Looks pretty beat up but original result of poor storage. Cracked and chipped handle really devalue the dagger. Curious about why you say carried.

    SA to my knowledge never had a leather buffer...

    Typical late period.... and yes it had seen its better days and No ...these SA daggers did not come out of the factory with buffers.
    The buffer could of been added on any time after it was issued until present day.
