Hi, this SA Dienstdolch for sale is in a rough condition, however the price does reflect it I believe.

I have compared to other examples and my untrained eyes tells me it's good, it has the "Sa" mark on the cross guard that is seen with this maker.
Not sure whats going on with the scabbard there

Please let me know if you have any concerns regarding authenticity?

    Thanks for looking,
    Nico

Hi Nico..Haenel is renown IMO to have the lowest step crossguard to grip fit next to Kober also a Suhl produced dagger.

Have you taken a very close look at other Haenel examples and you will agree that the dagger you posted is not what it appears.
Dig a little and post a photo ..we have many threads here.

    or google Haenel SA dagger

Thank you Larry, always a pleasure to hear your take and the way you help us learn!

I did read your comment on the previous Haenel "The Lowest of Low in crossguard steps"..

So it should look more like the green circle than my example circled in red?

Yes..exactly .....The guard is correct ...its the grip that has been added.

Personally I would wait for a correct and whole example if you are searching for a Suhl made dagger.
    Bad condition and mismatched.

    Unbelievable this.
My advise buy an good and honest dagger by Wittmann, Meda militaria, Lakeside trader, etc.
It costs few bucks but than you have something to study.
Or are these daggers already yours?

    Hi Nico,

    I thought it was yours.

That’s the English version of Ralf Siegert his Service Daggers of the SA book.
