If you aren't sure.........always ask for more photos! If its not a member here with many post, I would ask to see their hand holding it in a picture. I was almost taken by a low priced SS dagger. The pictures were nice and so was the price of $950. Anyone legit will be happy to send more photos or even put your name on a piece of paper next to it for that matter!!

sam1chlt - excellent point, I know how risky a business it is when a deal seems suspiciously good. This dagger's not being sold by a member of a forum but on a militaria website which seems to have sold a large amount in the past, so I'm hoping it's legitimate. Just hope he gets back to me now!
