Thankyou for posting. The other picture made it look strange but it must have been the camera angle.
Just a nice variation.

Agreed the same feeling..thank you Ivan...it looked as though the eagle and runes were just placed on top. Thankyou for clearing that up! The engraving is a top shelf job. Best regards Larry

Nice partial Rohm Pack and Son SA. I would not worry overly about the raised eagle and roundel. What has likely happened is a humid summer environment swelled the wood abit and pushed up the inset pieces, is all. When the wood dried back down, it left the 2 pieces protruding abit. As said by the others above, the personalization is superb and really puts it up there! Very nice!

Ivan,
A great unmessed with Partial Rohm, back yard job
Overall a wonderful historical SA dagger that tells a story & much more interesting than a Minty run of the mill SA dagger imo.
Thanks For Showing it buddy
Cheers Mac 66.
Great pommel inscription - what does it say?
I quite like the semi-raised eagle.
Looks like "W" or "B. Schlatter"....
Really nice Stingray!
Regards, Jerry
