Hello Mach...the photos are blurry but looks like a nice Initial production Type A.
Could the community here get some clearer photos of the scabbard...the paint looks lumped up...due to the blurry photos.
Do not use flash ...which will wash out any detail that needs to be seen.

Hi Mach...thankyou for the greater photos ...you found an elusive Chain Type which most Chained SS Dagger collectors desire.
There is still a decent amount of patina left in the chain tabs as well.
The scabbard paint looks good as well.

I picked up this dagger and a few more (Early SS w/vertical hanger, Chained NSKK,4 personalized SA, DLV) up from a friend who inherited an older collection and does not collect TR items. The good thing for me is that he only collects US militaria...
When you get a chance post the SS hanger ,. the SA ,. and DLV in each of their sub forum categories for a deeper study discussion.
