Default Another SS dagger: real or fake?

I was browsing in an antiques shop in Northern England a few days ago and came across the dagger in the attached photographs. I occasionally browse these forums and know that fakes are sometimes a problem. The key thing which aroused my curiosity was the leather shoulder to the blade. I have never seen this before. I wondered whether the dagger was authentic.

I know you might not be able to do very much with these photographs. I wasn't able to take the dagger out of the cabinet and give it a full inspection. However, are you able to give even a rough view based on the photographs?

The eagle is positioned to high up on the handle.

I am not an expert, so I would wait to hear what others say

Right off it looks parted junk some real and some not.

And of course without further photos and the lack of permission that was not given to you to inspect..is not worth your time.....Walk on By

The leather buffer pad between the cross-guard and scabbard would give me reason to pause and without real good pictures it is hard telling what is being sold there

You might struggle to see it in the photographs (which are lower resolution than my own copies) but if you look on the crossguard on the side closest to the grip, there appears to be an area where the metal has deteriorated and/or flaked away. I am not an expert on this but my understanding is that the cross guard is meant to be solid metal?

The label is partly hidden on the photographs but the price tag was £1,250...

It is reproduction. I sure hope no one will buy it with that price.
