Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for any information or advice on this particular dagger. I recently acquired this dagger knowing that the scabbard was possibly repainted and the small nickel cross guard was incorrect for this dagger. I was hoping to see if there are any other issues with this dagger? the the larger nickel plated cross guard has the letters F B cast inside.

Hello...since I dont know your name..I will call you Michael as I know an associate here who fears his wife that she may sell his collection for what he told her he paid for it ...Im sure once he sees this thread he will have something to say about that...LOL...Anyway.

Total parts dagger comprised from a couple of production periods.
    Bad fit
Grip eagle wing tips have been ground down and made to fit into the grip.

Hopefully this dagger was given to you for free when you said you acquired it recently.
Sorry for the bad news but you came to the right place to begin your journey

    Regards Larry

Lol, My name is Sam and that was a great response to my user name. The dagger was thrown in on a trade between me and a LGS owner, so I really don't have any cost associated with it. I didn't notice the grip eagle modification, good eye.
