Colors and finishes

Article about: I just cleaned up 2 more relics. One turned out to be almost blue color the other is covered in a rough textured finish. Does anyone know why it is such a blue color? I assume the texture is

    I just cleaned up 2 more relics. One turned out to be almost blue color the other is covered in a rough textured finish. Does anyone know why it is such a blue color? I assume the texture is a "sawdust" finish I have heard of? any comments on either are welcome. Blue helmet:
