    Looks that way, doesnt it? Maybe it was staked to the top of the bunker parapet and used as target practice as any one of those bullet hits would've knocked the helmet away if not held down securely? Just another mystery of ww2 I guess...

    Still a cool helmet! I like it a lot. Especially after the job you did on it. Would look perfect on top of my Vet Art Lamp

    Naa he's whacked it back in his shed and no doubt next year he'll post up another resto on it!!!!
