Article about: Hello all specialists. I need your help. Ii just got this M38 helmet. I was excited to have it, but back to home, I get some doubts. No factory marks visible on the steel (but rusted a lot)

    Hello all specialists. I need your help. Ii just got this M38 helmet. I was excited to have it, but back to home, I get some doubts. No factory marks visible on the steel (but rusted a lot) and I have a doubt on the jugular and button. What do you think? Many thanks for your help in advance

    Sorry no one has responded yet so bumping this for comments.

    I had a late war example who's lot number was under the rolled rim so it's not unheard of. But the maker mark should be visible.

    Some more photos of the shell would help. Straight on photos of the front and side especially

    I think the liner and harness looks good but will defer to others with more experience

    This one needs to be held and inspected in hand to be sure but from what I see in these photos, I do not like it. Close but not the real deal in my opinion. I might change that opinion inspecting it in hand but based on these photos I would not buy this one.

    Hello, thanks for your replies. I took more pictures with the daylight and I can see with difficulties a number, may be an "8" and a "7" on one internal side. i can't see anything on the other side
