    Default Cursed Fallschirmjaeger Helmet?

    Hi everyone,

Not sure if this post belongs here or not but have any of you ever heard of a helmet that supposedly is cursed??

Years ago, I would attend a local militaria fair on Sunday mornings where all the collectors would gather to buy and sell. I always enjoyed the show and was able to pick up some nice items for the collection. Every once in a while, something would show up that would stop people in their tracks.

One of the items that showed up this one time was this battle damaged Fallschirmjaeger helmet. The poor fellow who wore it originally must have taken a round through the chin as there was a hole through the top of the helmet and the liner showed massive blood staining with bits of hair stuck to the leather. In reality, it was pretty horrible to look at and contemplate that the soldier met such a violent end while wearing this helmet....possibly while parachuting down. That was the theory that a few guys put forth, but I suppose it could have been suicide as well, which may explain the unsual "vibe" this helmet had.

We were told that the helmet was "cursed" and of course no one believed it, but stories soon began to come out about all the previous owners and how they would suffer grave misfortune. One guy was in a car accident shortly after buying the helmet, another fellow suffered a serious medical condition, another guy had his house catch fire.....all within a very short time of acquiring this helmet. The last anyone saw of this helmet was at another show that I wasn't able to attend. The helmet was in a glass display case when suddenly, the glass shattered for no reason whatsoever. The helmet disappeared after that and I was never able to find out who bought it but several people suggested to the new owner that he should take it to a German military cemetary and leave it there to end the "curse".

Anyway, it was a facinating story......have you guys ever hear of anything like this before?

    Cheers,
    Tim

I'm specialised in removing helmet curses. I charge 250$ per helmet. For that amount you get a CCR document. (Certificate of Curse Removal).

    Hi Tim,

You really need to talk to our forum colleague Richard Kimmel. He's written a couple of books on supernatural occurances in the military and haunted artifacts.

Here's a linky to his spooky website!!

Well.. about 2 months after I bought my first helmet I was in a near miss with a white Ford transit van which resulted in a smashed driver side window for me, then I bought a German water canteen and Deutsche Wehrmacht armband and just after those purchases I found out that I was getting laid off work! But I'm sure it's all just coincidence. And Frank, make sure you carry out an exorcism on that lid before you send it to me!

If anyone is into the cursed Nazi theme, I suggest watching the film 'Dead Snow' its about cursed Nazi zombies and it's a good laugh.
I gotta get me that book too.
