FJ Lid for Review

Hello!

I was fortunate to be able to view a friend's new purchases, which included this beauty among a lot of other great items. I was given permission to photograph it and post it here in hopes that this community can help determine if it is original or not. Please help us out! In my limited experience and with hands-on appraisal (and in context with a large vet's group) it looks good to me.

It is single-decal ET68, stamped with the number 4937. A name is penciled on the rim at rear. The liner is in beautiful shape with minor wear, mostly to the rim of the leather. The stamps are well defined. There is a dome stamp that we could not photograph well so I omitted it. Bolts are in mostly vertical positions. Chinstrap is all present and supple.

That is one beautiful FJ helmet , so good to see an original! Shows the nice "rolled" edge to the turn over with the impression line that an original has and a lovely Luftwaffe decal. Your friend has found a cracker!! Leon.
