It's had some clean up but yes it is original nibbled M38 relic. Looks fairly solid as well.
Is the paint visible on the shell a post-war work?
How much can a helmet in this condition be valued at?
Regards
let's say I buy it for 300 euros, is that a good price?
300€ sounds a fair price for a relic shell, it is in one piece and doesn't appear to have holes. The decision is yours, but remember it's a relic and will not look better over time nor will it increase much (if anything) in value.
Do you think that in the future these helmets in good condition will increase their value on the market?
Note that none of us can predict the future. While past history does indicate (with everything else being equal) that the value of WW2 memorabilia does increase in value during different economic cycles, there is always the possibility that it can decline in value.
Despite my signature line quote......I personally do not collect these items for investment purposes.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
