Hi guys,
just a little addition that arrived recently, an ex-Heer M35 used by the Finns. Not the most amazing example: the several layers of paintwork have suffered quite a lot and the decal seems to have been painted over and unfortunately later dug out. A Finnish chinstrap has been added to replace the original one, the liner cord is also a later replacement.
The shell is marked EF68 for the manufacturer while the lot number remains mostly hidden under the paint. The liner band is dated 1941. The liner itself has been stamped with a large Finnish Army "SA" property marking and - the seller never having mentioned this - has also been named, although I am unable to work out exactly what the writing says.
IMO a decent piece with an interesting history despite its flaws
Thanks for taking a look!
