    Default Finnish m40?

My brother acquired this helmet quite recently and he was wondering if its actually Finnish or not (as it was sold as a Finnish helmet).
I've never seen this kind of manufacture marking's before, the only marking is in the back of the helmet skirt and doesn't have anymore.
If you need anymore images let me know.
Any help is greatly appreciated as always.

Latewar German M40 helmet for sure. Finnish-made m/40 helmets are 'slightly' different. That could have been used by the Finns as part of German supply shipments but who knowns.

Name written in the liner is not Finnish either. Aringer Alois(?)

    Nice helmet anyway.

Post war Finnish helmets did not have the German liner system either but none of the 5 wartime German factories marked helmets without their code initials .....an odd one for sure.

Thanks for the help Heimdall and Danmark, it's quite the unusual helmet for sure and I believe the name Aringer Alois is German or Austrian in origin.
