I believe it is some type of pusher sabot round for ballistic testing, either for high speed aerodynamics, impact testing.
Well, it wouldn't be a sabot which is a device made of two or more pieces that hold a "sub-calibre" projectile in the centre of a bore to ensure accurate discharge and which falls away as the projectile leaves the muzzle (see modern APFSDS tank rounds) tending to increase muzzle velocity but yes it is clearly something that has been through a rifled barrel perhaps to push another item or maybe to test the efficiency of the gun itself. The seccond piece clearly did not travel cleanly along the bore as the end opposite the driving band has contacted the barrel rifling causing those distinctive striations.
Annoyingly, I still feel I have seen it before but can't place it.

Reason: typo
"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing he cares more about than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature with no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."

I think the D-10T is a match. The space between the rifling on the photo i have “borrowed” seems to have a similar width to the projectile rifling marks

Well, it does look to be about 100mm but you also need to consider the number of lands and grooves as well as the pitch and twist which is a bit difficult in these pictures but I think the alternatives are limited.
