Hello. Any help on the meaning of the characters on the front of this canteen would be appreciated. Who would have applied them, if authentic and not post-war applied? Are markings of this nature common?
Also, I have attached an image of the markings on the bottom of the canteen. Would these indicate the manufacturer of the canteen?
As a side note, is there a sticky that I missed on this forum that discusses canteens and their markings? If yes, I would appreciate to know where it is located so that I can learn more about Japanese canteens. I have yet to find any available references on them.
Thank you.
