Postwar good luck charm for good health from Meiji Shrine. As I asked before, please try to limit posts to militaria, at least with a star or anchor, not religious trinkets.
In Japanese militaristic faleristics, there are enough examples of the existence of signs on which there are no stars or anchors.
It is difficult to draw a correct conclusion without understanding the hieroglyphs.
In this case, the sign has an imperial symbol.
By your paradoxical logic, asking a question on this forum - should I immediately know the answer to it myself? (rhetorical question).
Thanks for the help.
hieroglyphs = Kanji
If I were to guess what you collected, based on what you post here, I'd say you specialize in school sports day badges, Shinto and Buddhist Sect Badges and some police badges, all with hieroglyphs, but definitely not militaria. If you are indeed after militaria, you might have a better chance panning for gold. What you need is a general translation forum, and when they say military, bring it here.
What I really need is not to meet in my life people who poorly cope with their neuroticism and those who know exactly how to live correctly.
And I can handle the rest.
I think Nick was kindly telling you to go jump off a cliff... and I can understand his viewpoint.
Gents
Let's keep the discussion about the item and no personal attacks.
"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated
My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them
"Don't tell me these are investments if you never intend to sell anything" (Quote: Wife)
I fully support it.
