Here are photos of what is claimed to be a model 3 in a collection in Japan. He does explain that model 3s have a 1.2mm thick shell vs 1mm of a Type 90, so he is at least aware what to look for, but unfortunately he can't be reached to ask about the weight, etc. so this will have to remain an unconfirmed sighting.
