I think I smell a fake signature?

In defense of the seller... he told me that he really doesn’t know if the sword is fake or original. With my limited experience in swords... I’m guessing an older repo Chinese blade with a fake signature. Blade looks to be Damascus... first tell tale sign.

Yes, a fake. The signature is the name of an appraiser of sword Tsubas and other fittings who wrote several books on the subject. The Chinese faker must have taken his name from his bookshelf of reference books.
