Japanese Aircraft Compass Identification and valuation

Hello , I have come across this Japanese Aircraft Insrument and am hoping someone out there could help me to identify it better than I am able to. It is in very good shape and still works perfectly . There is supposed to be some kind of fluid inside of it , but it came to me without any fluid in it. It has a bulb for illumination, and some sort of fine tuning magnets on the top. Thank you for any help you could give me !

Thank you for the info, zwerge. Do you happen to know its value , or whom i should ask ? Are there collectors or aviators around who would want it for a restoration?
