My year is starting strong

Hello everyone,

I was lucky enough to find this navy grouping.
7 albums and 50 lose pictures and information of the same family that served for 3 generations in the navy.
Grandfather, father and son begining from ww1 until ww2 and i even have pictures of 50s.
The pictures are just beautiful but to many to show you them all.
Enjoy.

Can't help but feel a bit envious, some astounding photos there. Looks like some are even taken quite late into the war.

The second to last photo of the what looks to be all the officers on the deck of a ship. The man in the middle looks Caucasian. Or is it just my eyesight?

Yes i was very lucky to find this grouping. Thank you all for your kind words.
I had the same feeling with the picture and the caucasian looks of the officer. I have a lot of documents to translate. I let you guys know if something come out like which ship etc...

Well it looks like the officers who owned the photos were commissioned, in other words graduates of the naval academy, so researching them should be a piece of cake. Once you have their names you can just refer to them in the Kaigun Jirei Koho and find all vessels/units they were assigned to from 37-45. For earlier stuff you will need to check the Kanpo. If they're high enough rank someone will have already compiled a lot of info for them already.
