Officers Tunic or Civilian

Hello everyone,
I am not good with Japanese Tunics. Can anyone tell me if this Tunic is an Officers Tunic? Or a civilian model? Thank you for your advice and help.

This looks like a Type 98 to me with the collar. The buttons, lining, and more tapered cut are all representative of an officer's tunic.

It appears the Type 5 has a slit on both flanks but the 98 has only one one

My bad, thanks for the correction. Shot from the hip in response to the khaki color and missed the collar.
