Not a sake cup but i thought that is ok.
A sake bottle with both the Japanese and USA flag. Someone went to the USA and when he came home he got a welcome home sake bottle. :-)
The text on the bottle says "Return to Country Commemoration", and probably the name on the guy but i cant read it.

Kurashige is the name on the bottle. Must have been a journalist or diplomat on assignment to the USA before the war.

Thanks Nick, that sound likely. I dont think that many had the money to visit the US in those days if they werent there working.

Got this stuff today. The warmers are neat because of the rifles and artillery piece. So are the boxed cups. Could please someone translate the label? Thanks. Rich A. in Pa.

Rich - yes, very cool sake bottles. Really like the rifles on there.

TAHD - those 4 soldier cups are really awesome. Nice ornamentation.
