Yes, in the UK at the moment £690 isn't a bad price, especially if the scabbard is matching. Dealers seem to be asking £750 plus. So, as per Bruce's comment, in the UK too a Type 95 is about the same as an ordinary Type 98 that does not have a traditional blade.
In February, 2022, I viewed a Type 95 at Halls Auctioneers in Shrewsbury. It was as clean as they come, so put a bid in, but to my amazement it hammered at £1050, so over £1300 with fees!

Thanks both, that really helps put the prices into perspective - and funnily enough I don't live too far from Shrewsbury. I shall keep searching, especially now that I know what to look for.
I've moved from Shrewsbury to Morda, Oswestry, so on the Welsh border now!
