very nice these miniatures of military equipments, generally these are commemorative objects used as desk paperweight.
There are different types and different stories, it seemed interesting to me to show you these examples of WW1, where I compared a M1916 helmet and a M1896 mess kit, with their little brothers.
The little helmet was sold as souvenir during visits to the "Redipuglia" Monumental Cemetery, a large military cemetery located in Northern Italy where 100,000 Italian soldiers fallen during WW1 were buried .
The little mess kit has no known origin, it could also be a souvenir or a toy for children, who in the post WW1 years copied Army equipment.
