yes, it is an M33 pre-war production, the color of the shell and the front holes make me think of an example used by the Spanish army.

I agree with Roberto's answer, what it does seem is that the helmet could remain like this after the war, without being used later by the Spanish army. The holes were made on many occasions to put the Falangist symbol of the yoke and arrows during the war. Although it shows that it has been repainted, what I do not know is the exact color. It appears a darker green than the original. He could also wear the eagle or rhombuses that were used as soon as the postwar period began.
