does anyone have any information on these buckles? so they are silver eagle on gold? I have the grey eagle on shiny nickel type and I know next to nothing about either...

but it's a gorgeous buckle... I love mine and those gold ones look fantastic!

I don’t know much about these but Marcus has a silver eagle on a silver buckle in an Auction. My buddy Garry has a silver one with a gold eagle. The only combination I don’t recall seeing is a gold on gold.

The patina on the eagle makes it look much nice than the shiny eagle that almost match the box.

hmm - looking at the ones that @lach470 and @Kurt D posted, I wonder if those started off with a similar finish on the eagle - you can still see it in the grooves, which looks very nice - but perhaps it originally had a dull grey finish as well, and only the box colour was different?

I took a look in my "NSKK and NSFK" book last night but it said very little about these... I should also check my belt buckle books

    Hello,
Buckle is also shown in the Assmann catalog. Rare piece for which it is difficult to prove the originality 100%..
