Thank you so much for your consideration. Unfortunately I paid a little more due to Bureaucratic senseless importation laws in my Country that obliged me to pay an additional 60% of the final price of the helmet. But I always compare the prices before the Customs take a bite at it and I was happy to hear your remark.
I believe that oxalic acid is what some youtubers use on their helmet restoration videos which I cited in my answer to Danmark. If it is possible to restore some of the original paint with this method I would definitely give it a try. Have you used it in one of your items? What were your impressions post-application?

I would not use it on a barn find. Just keep it as is. Oxalid is used on ground finds.
